Smoke Control Systems have worked closely with the Electrical contractor to Supply , Install and Commision an Addressable control system for 44 AOV vents

This was a small development of nine self contained flats which provided a problem to be solved. The requirement for an automatically opening ventilator at the head of the stair was originally missed in the construction of the building meaning of course that a specific design would be required to fit an appropriate alternative system into limited space and within a limited time frame. Utilising expert knowledge and years of experience, a forced extraction system was designed and subsequently approved through building control as an appropriate alternative.

For the Royal College of Art London we were asked to provide a solution to give maximum ventilation to a series of windows and restrict the opening of them to 85 deg, by making a modification to our standard control systems we were able to achieve the customers requirements.

We provided the controls to this highly prestigious apartment building at Lincoln's Inn Fields WC2 to help meet the very short schedule required by the M + E contractor.
